About IIO
The idea: To create a website, backed by a global and experienced consultation base, where anyone, anywhere, can post a question relating to interfaith. Reflections on a question will be offered and further resources suggested where appropriate. Gradually we will build up a meaningful FAQ on the website.
Fill in a simple online form with your interfaith question and we will attempt to respond it. Where we cannot do so we will forward the question to contacts that have the expertise to respond to it. Everyone helping to respond to questions does so with good will on a voluntary basis and within the limits of their own knowledge. There are no definitive answers.
The seminal idea for this site was dreamed up by Jael Bharat shortly before he passed away in November 2006. Margaret Paton is now helping Sandy and both hope this sharing of expertise and experience will be useful.
Sandy Bharat was coordinator of the International Interfaith Centre from 1994-2004. She is a Theology honours graduate, a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda and now a trustee of the International Interfaith Centre. For Sandy and Jael's books see www.spiritualityfordailylife.com & http://www.interfaithinfo.net/Resources/Publications.htm . If you would like a free copy of Jael’s booklet, Mapping the Cosmos: An Introduction to God, see www.spiritualityfordailylife.com/booklet.html
Margaret Paton, webperson, was the administrator for the International Association for Religious Freedom, then for the International Interfaith Centre and the Fellowship of Reconciliation.
